We had a fairly standard day out on the streets of Hartford today. There was one new participant with us; a young man named Mike. It's good to see the youth participating in ministries like this one.
We had the opportunity to canvass several blocks in two groups, and then finished up preaching near Center Church.
As I was wrapping up my message, a young man approached me and began to ask me questions about the 2012 end-of-the-world thing. As it turns out, he had a testimony of receiving Christ when he was about ten years old, but he needed some instruction in the word as some of his doctrine was off. After about fifteen minutes of discussion, I was able to leave him with the tract "Saved, Sure and Serving" as well as with an admonition to daily read his Bible, which he said he would do. I am unsure of his situation. I thought he may have been homeless, but he said he had a home in Hartford. Regardless, he needs to grow in Christ and get into a Bible-believing church. His name is Jerry. Please pray for him.
