12.12.2009 Update

There has finally been a break in weather conditions, permitting us to get back to the streets of Hartford.  Four young men joined me today in spreading the gospel, including Herb, a new member of our church.

Because of rain days and other events, we have actually not preached since our last incident with the police, so I was eager to "reclaim" our old pulpit.  Herb and I preached in front of the Old State House once again.

Our time out was shorter this week because of the cold.  I was able to talk with our old friend Trevor and offer him some food assistance, which he denied.  I told him we would continue to pray for him.  I was also able to speak for some time to a Muslim named Mohammed.  While heavily steeped in his religion, he allowed us to have a pleasant discourse.  Herb and I were both able to share some scripture proving that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh.  Pray that these verses stick in his heart and mind and turn him to the Lord.

Lord willing, we will continue street preaching once the new year rolls around.  Until then, we determine with Christ's help to preach the gospel to those we contact in our normal course of events.  Thank all of you who participate in this ministry, especially you young men who have been so faithful this summer and fall.  God bless you and keep you in the center of his will.
