The schedule for street preaching has been a bit erratic lately because of other events, but we finally went out again! The event was the ING Hartford Marathon. There were thousands in attendance, according to reports, not including the over 7000 runners.
Parking was a bear, but we finally found a spot and hoofed it downtown. We spent our entire time in the finish line area since that was the highest concentration of people. With five men, we split into a group of two and a group of three, and flanked the finish line. By the time we left, we had passed out at least 600 tracts. This event, along with the St. Patricks Day parade, is one of the largest crowds we minister to. If you keep up with our ministry, and the Lord impresses it upon you, we could really use your help in these events.
As a side note, the reason we have chosen to focus our efforts in Hartford is because it offers the greatest variety of people to reach with the gospel. Not only are there the indigenous peoples, but there are also businessmen and travellers from all over the WORLD! We have met with French, Chinese, Romanian, Polish, Italian, Russian, Burmese, Israeli and Jamaican people. Additionally, we have had the chance to minister to deaf, blind, crippled and mentally disabled people. There are the well-to-dos, the down-and-outs, and all the rest in between. We see it all. So continue to pray for God to use us to reach all of these with the gospel.
