The participation in the street preaching ministry has been encouraging as of late. Mike has had a change in his work schedule allowing him to join us on Saturday mornings. We have also had several teens joining us the past few weeks. That is encouraging on many levels.

This past week, the Lord blessed us with beautiful weather to go preach the gospel. There were a couple events taking place in Hartford, so the crowds were slightly larger than normal. Many tracts were handed out, and the gospel was preached again. We had the privilege of meeting two deaf people, and gave them the tract "A TTY Call From God." Mike, being fluent in French, noticed a woman having a cell phone conversation in French and presented her with the French translation of the Chick tract "Last Rites." It's incredible the diversity of languages out there in Hartford! We were able to deal one-on-one with three individuals this past time. Please pray for them: José and Gene are not saved as far as we could tell. Also pray for one gentleman named Joe who professed salvation, but was without a home.

Pray for the date of October 22, 2005 as we are trying to gather a group of people to sing, play guitars and preach. I would like to see it encourage others to join in the work on the streets of Hartford.
