"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." I Corinthians 15:58
What a beautiful day to be out proclaiming the gospel on the streets of Hartford! We had a combination of opposition and support from the hearers today, but in any case the Lord gave us the liberty and power to preach.
We did not have as many opportunities to deal one-on-one with folks today, but we DID have a larger, although "captive," audience! There was a group of volunteers from a non-profit organization replacing trees in the sidewalks by the bus stops. They heard the gospel preached for at least 45 minutes! Although it was under their breath, we could hear a little of their banter back to us, not all of which was negative. They definitely got the message, and we pray God that they RECEIVE it. Almost all of them took tracts when they left.
We, unfortunately, ran out of English tracts sooner than expected, but we were able to use up the last of them at the beginning of the Connecticut Pride Block Party that was being set up for a sodomite gathering.
In closing, I would like to thank God for blessing this ministry with some faithful, zealous men to help in the work. As well, thanks once again to those of you praying for this ministry.
